Falling into a Good BookThe Sunday Salon

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you beauties are doing well on this fine Sunday!

Here in Ohio fall has finally fallen. The days are growing shorter, the air crisper, and the trees are emblazoned with deep burgundies and yellow ochers. The weather is just perfect for curling up with a good book and a steaming pot of Earl Grey. And I couldn’t be happier!

I’ve had so much going on over the last few weeks—fighting a swarm of German Yellow Jackets, then dealing with a waterline breaking in the basement. Yep! Fun times.

It’s definitely been interesting around here but thankfully I managed to post a week’s worth of reviews for some amazing books.

Here’s what was on the blog:

Monday—Moonlight Raider by Amanda Scott—It was good, but not one of my favorites by Amanda Scott.
Tuesday—Beauty Dates The Beast: A Midnight Liaisons Novel by Jessica Sims—Were-cougar falls for human female who works at a paranormal dating agency? How can I not like it?
Thursday—Must Love Fangs: A Midnight Liaisons Novel by Jessica Sims—She’s Dying to be turned. Loved it. My favorite in the series thus far.
Friday—no post due to internet being down.
Saturday—Wanted: Wild Thing: The final installment of the Midnight Liaisons series by Jessica Sims—A changeling and a mystery beastie? It was good but kind of a weak ending to such a great series.

I still have a few books in the Midnight Liaisons series that I have to read (see list below) but I can definitely say, this series is a keeper!

Books In the Midnight Liaisons series I still need to read:
1—Desperately Seeking Shapeshifter—Novel
2—Vixen—Novella
3—Speed Mating—Novella
4—Bear Naked—Novella
5—Claws & Effect—Novella

Here’s what I’m currently reading/listening to:

1—Undead In My Bed Anthology (also contains the Midnight Liaisons Novella, Out With A Fang.)
2—Return to Tradd Street—by Karen White—I’ve been suffering through this novel for what feels like eternity and I just can’t seem to get into it.
3--Outlander by Diana Gabaldon--I'm not going to lie, I started the books after the series. So far, so good.

Here’s what’s coming up on Simply Angela

Monday 6th— Doghouse: A Gin & Tonic mystery  by L.A. Kornestsky Review and giveaway.
Tuesday 7th—Secrets Of That Lost Summer by Carla Neggers
Wednesday 8th—That Night On Thistle Lane by Carla Neggers
Thursday 9th—Cider Brook by Carla Neggers

What have you lovelies been up to? Read any good books? Any tasty treats made? Any visits to your local orchards or pumpkin patches?
