New To Me Tuesday 3rd Edition

Over the weekend, I attended a friend’s wedding. It was a lovely little roaring ‘20’s themed affair held at a little vineyard—I had no idea that Ohio even had vineyards, so it was a true gem to discover.

After the wedding, a small group of us decided to venture into town and visit the shops. Naturally, the huge Barnes & Noble was the first place we decided to stop.

Here are the New To Me Gems I discovered.

Dakota Cassidy—I have been hearing good things about the Plum Orchard Series as well as Dakota Cassidy, so when I spotted the massive display for these books, I knew I had to add them to my basket.

Talk Dirty to Me by Dakota Cassidy (Harlequin Mira 978-0-7783-1619-0 $7.99)
Former mean girl Dixie Davis is back in town and it's payback time. Literally. Dixie is flat broke and her best—make that only—friend, Landon, is throwing her a lifeline from the Great Beyond. Dixie stands to inherit his business…if she meets a few conditions:

She's got to live in Landon's mansion.
With her gorgeous ex-fiancé, Caine Donovan.
Who could also inherit the business.
Which is a phone sex empire.
Wait, what?

Landon's will lays it out: whoever gets the most new clients becomes the owner of Call Girls. Dixie has always been in it to win it, especially when it comes to Caine, who's made it clear he's not going down easy. (Oh, mercy.) Can Dixie really talk dirty and prove that she's cleaned up her act? Game on!

Plum Orchard, Georgia, is about to get even juicier…

Something to Talk About by Dakota Cassidy  (Harlequin Mira 978-0-7783-1627-5 $7.99)
Sexy is as sexy does. And in Plum Orchard, sugar, it does!

Emmeline Amos is sick of her ex saying she's boring and prissy. After all, she works for a phone-sex company! (As general manager, but still.) On a rare girls' night out, fueled by blender drinks and bravado, Em accepts a shocking dare—to handle a call herself. But it's tipsy Em who gets an earful from an irate single father on the other end of the line. Awkward.

But not as awkward as discovering that same mad dad is Call Girls' gorgeous new programmer. Jax Hawthorne is still upset that his daughter called the "girlfriend store" on his behalf, but he can't deny he'd choose a hot-librarian type like Em if he were looking for love. Which he's not.

Em wants to do more than just talk the talk. So she makes a bawdy bargain with Jax. They've both been burned before—this time, they'll keep it strictly physical. Except as soon as they settle on no strings attached, things start to get tangled….

Not only are the following authors new to me, the Desire line is new to me as well. And with 188 pages in one book (Baby For Keeps) and 187 in the other (Expecting The CEO’s Child) these will make the perfect books to start and finish over teatime.

Baby For Keeps by Janice Maynard (Harlequin Desire 978-0-373-73320-0 $5.25)
A woman and baby walk into a bar…

It might sound like a joke, but saloon owner Dylan Kavanagh knows it's all too serious. Struggling single mom Mia Larin needs him. She helped him when they were young, and the bachelor means to do everything in his power to protect Mia and her child. Giving her a job, a room under his own roof, is easy. Keeping it all about business isn't….
Dylan is a successful, eligible catch, but are Mia's feelings just a case of hero worship? Or will she still need him, still want him, once her circumstances change?

Expecting The CEO’S Child by Yvonne Lindsay (Harlequin Desire 978-0-373-73319-4 $5.25)
No woman says no to a Lassiter
Months after their passionate tryst, Dylan Lassiter can't get Jenna Montgomery out of his mind. Maybe being named CEO of his adoptive father's restaurant empire is making the onetime playboy think about settling down. Or maybe it's because Dylan just found out Jenna's having his baby….

When the petite florist flat-out refuses to marry him, the celebrity chef kicks his seduce/woo/wed scheme into high gear. But just as he's gaining ground, the media unearths a shocking secret from the mother-to-be's past. Now Dylan could lose the woman—and family—he wants more than anything….
