My Thoughts
I was truly excited when I received this book! I thought “WOW” a nonfiction book based on Saint Patrick, this looks like it will be an interesting read. Unfortunately the book fell short of my expectations, there was no true fact used as the base of this foundation. The author provided his assumptions and what little historical accuracy there was pertained to the history of Irish, and Roman culture, and overshadowed the main subject. Also the author based the early history of the Celts on pop culture theory rather than true fact. Also I noticed that the authors Gaelic translations is off as well. I normally try to show the strong points of a book as well as the writer, although I could find nothing to rave about except the cover. A true letdown.
