Okay, so I’m just going to jump right in here and say that I feel like I missed a lot by not having read the first books in the Bridesmaid’s Creek series.

Apparently, Daisy and John spent some in Montana getting down and dirty and now she’s pregnant but rather than giving in to be with John, she makes him chase her around until he finally shows her he’s ready to settle down.

Daisy’s never really known where she fit in, so she decided to become the town’s wild child. Now that she’s pregnant with triplets she knows it’s time for her to settle down. I kind of had a love hate relationship with Daisy. I liked that she could stand on her own and wasn’t afraid to stand up to anyone who got her in way but at the start of the book she drove me insane. Rather than talking to John about what was going on, she made him chase her around and even headed to Australia to avoid him.

John grew up with parents that followed and worked for the rodeo circuit. Then he became a SEAL, so he’s never had an actual place to live and that worries Daisy and it’s completely understandable. She wants to raise her children in a home and she doesn’t want them uprooted all the time, so John has to prove to her that he’s going to be a permanent fixture. John was the outsider and I loved that he tried to fit in with the crazy town he found himself in. I also liked that he was going to prove to her father that he wasn’t after Daisy because she came from a wealthy family.

I really liked Daisy and John as a couple. They were a cute couple who were equally matched and they had great chemistry and more than a few obstacles to overcome.

So, there’s a lot going on with the town of Bridesmaid’s Creek and the magic the town possesses and it made for an interesting read. The town’s residents were a quirky and somewhat kooky bunch but they were fun and entertaining.

While enjoyable, the book had an awkward feel for the first five and half chapters. I think it had to do with the fact that the relationship between Daisy and John and the setting of the book had already felt established; perhaps it was mentioned in one of the previous books. So a quick little recap would have been nice.

Another thing that bugged me was the fact that things seemed too convenient. When John decided he was going to go to Australia to find Daisy, she was sitting in front of the place where he was staying. Also, I never thoroughly understood why Daisy, a virgin, would be taking some kind of magic medicine to increase her chances of getting pregnant.

There’s also ton of stuff going on in the book and at times it gave the flow a choppy feel because of the abrupt changes.

Overall, while I felt as though the town and the characters had already been established this was still a cute and quirky little romance. I think I would have enjoyed it a bit better if I would have read the series from the start.  The flow could have been smoothed out a little better, but it was still a nice read.

That is a lot of baby. It's hard when you feel like you've missed bits from other books and whew yeah her running would have made me twitch. Glad it was still enjoyable though and they were cute together :)

I couldn't imagine having triplets. lol This is one time that a book really needed a recap. Perhaps it would have explained her need to run a bit better.
